How this works

Gratuities = daily gratuity × guests × nights. Lines differ on whether children are charged; check yours.
Drinks without a package = drinks per day × average price × adults × nights, plus the service charge.
Package break-even = package price ÷ average drink price = drinks per day you must have to come out ahead. Most lines require every adult in the cabin to buy it (rules on the fees page), so use the whole cabin's total. Packages usually have a per-drink value cap and a daily limit, so a $16 cocktail may not be fully covered.
